Wednesday, Anders turned 4 months old! I took him to the doctor on Thursday for his check-up and immunizations. His stats are as follows:
4 Months Old - December 8, 2010
Weight - 15 lbs. 4 oz.
Length - 25.5 inches
At 4 Months he is:

At 4 Months he is:
- Eating 5-8 ounces of sensitive formula - we were told to start putting cereal into his bottles for the next month to see how it helps with the spitting up/reflux. The dr. thinks this is the reason for his slowing of weight gain, though not worried about it. He should be able to start eating real food at 5 months of age.
- Still sleeping wonderfully! 7-8 hours (straight) a night, 2-3 hours in a.m. and possibly a small nap in the afternoon.
- Sitting up without help for about 5 seconds and prefers to be in a sitting up position, rather than reclining.
- Almost rolls over from back to stomach. It has actually happened twice, but only on soft, fluffy bases (i.e. couch, our bed).
- Reaching for things (toys, hands, etc.) and examines them for a few seconds before shoving them into his mouth. He can also reach his feet, but hasn't quite managed to get them all the way to his mouth yet.
- Teething - we have spotted a lateral incisor on his bottom right side. It hasn't broken the gums yet, but you can feel the bump. In observing how he chews on his hands, he always chews on the them in the exact spot where the tooth is coming in. I try to rub the spot from time to time, but I am instantly covered in gobs of drool. :)
- Recognizing everyone that he sees on a day-to-day basis. However, that doesn't stop him from smiling at EVERYONE! He truly is a happy baby!
This past weekend he had a fever of about 101, which prompted me to call the emergency line. Tylenol did the job and brought it down, but I was certainly prepared to take him to the ER at 2am on Sunday. It remained a low-grade fever all day Sunday, but by Monday he was fine. He does have a little bit of a cold (but that has been ongoing since he's been in daycare :-[ ) and that seems to be clearing up now.
He received 4 shots (2 in each leg) and one oral vaccination. He cried more this time than last. And the injection sites are bruised, so they still may hurt him some. He was pretty cranky afterward, but he seems to be back to his little happy self.
The dr. was thrilled with how well he is doing and told us to keep up the wonderful job. :)
