Christmas was spent in Georgia with our families. We arrived Wednesday night in LaGrange, to spend the night in a hotel to be at Charlie's company Christmas luncheon on Thursday. His father (who works for the company as well), mother and sister Ashley were also there, along with little Adrian. We made peanut butter fudge and sadly, not much was eaten since it was competing with a Mississippi Mud Cake and other fudges. (I'm sure at least 10 pounds was gained that day).
Thursday evening and all day Friday were spent as his parents and my mom's houses. And then on Christmas Day we first met the rest of my family at my Nana's house to exchange presents. Anders opened his first presents there! Sadly, I have no pictures since we only took videos (Charlie gave me a video camera for Christmas). But we could really have saved tons of moolah by just giving him wrapping paper. He would slowly tear off the pieces and shove them into his mouth. Once we got some of the toys opened, Charlie would assemble and proceed to play with each - he's worse than a child! Anders loved them all! He got much needed bibs and tons of 6-9 month clothing, which he is very close to wearing and was worn out by midday. We headed over to the in-laws afterward, where he received much of the same.
We decided to leave that night as it was already snowing lots in Alabama (our first White Christmas!) and was set to get bad in Georgia. So we packed up everything and hit the road. It took us about 30-45 minutes longer due to the weather conditions, but the scenery was beautiful. We woke up Sunday to a blanket of white and took Anders out for only a few seconds to taste/see/feel snow for the first time!
I feel so incredibly lucky to have spent this Christmas with my little family. Anders definitely brings so much more light into our lives, especially at this time of year. And next Christmas will be all that much more fun!

Jackie, Charlie's mom, bought this outfit for the boys to wear for their first Christmases...
