Charlie has been bugging the hell out of me for the past 12 weeks since we first ordered the boat and I was extremely happy that the day had finally arrived. We went to D&D Marine in Athens (who are the sweetest salespeople you will ever meet), picked up the prized possession and traveled to Lake Guntersville to spend the afternoon breaking the engine in. We fished a bit, but after my failed attempt to reel in the largest fish of my career on my very first cast in the brand new boat (so close!), we were not successful in landing anything.
He took the boat back out on Sunday with Travis, to Logan Martin, and they made up for our lack of success. But the new boat has brought about one major concern. Our garage is just big enough to house the boat. But since the boat is heavier, wider and longer than the Astro, it's harder to maneuver. I am unable to help Charlie move it, so his conclusion to this problem is to buy a bigger house. Sure...let's just buy another house, right after we just bought a brand new boat, in the midst of preparing for our first child! Haha. Only my husband.
It is nice to have something that our family can enjoy for many years to come! (Well, at least 10-15 years until Charlie decides he needs to upgrade again!) :)
